The sun is finally shining! How good does that feel? Apologies if you are further north to Suffolk and are still waiting for your quota…it’ll come, I’m sure.
Spring is certainly one of my most favourite months, a time when the bulbs are beginning to surface and the garden is starting to look less skeletal. Finally Easter is on the way and the dream of daffodils is a reality. The nights are drawing out and I’m no longer cooking dinner in the dark but even beginning to push the window open to breathe in the last of the days fresh {but still a little chilly] air.
For me, fashion wise, its the season of ‘the ankle’. After all, its as much leg one is inclined to reveal while there’s still a slight chill in the air but, oh does it feel good to ditch the socks and long boots? Opting for something a little less cumbersome.
When Boden Clothing challenged me to add a little ‘rainbow’ to my wardrobe I welcomed it with open arms! Always one for colour, mostly because it can’t be helped but to put a smile on your face when you’re wearing it but, also because I love the analogy of the rainbow. I spend much of my time encouraging my children to always ‘chase’ the rainbow…after all, dreams really can come true, right?
So, my top picks for this ‘rainbow’ season are;
Part of the ‘BODEN 10’ capsule collection this knit really does tick those boxes. This sophisticated pointelle jumper is a season rotational, one that will be pulled out whatever the weather; styled classically for the evening tucked in a floaty skirt or styled casually with jeans, its an ‘all rounder’ and a style I love {it also has a touch of mohair for that little bit of luxury}.
Made from sand-washed silk, this shirt is pure luxury. It’s a relaxed fit, which I like and has a hidden button up, which makes it great with trousers and heels for a smart look or with jeans and loafers for more casual days.
Well helloooo rainbow heaven. A record amount of instagram likes really gave this outfit the gram seal of ‘Yes please, where can I buy?’ approval. This cashmere knit – from Inner Mongolia, is special for sure. Maybe the softest yarn I have ever worn and the rainbow shoulder really gives it HUGE amounts of style credibility. Styled with the Cambridge ankle skimmers {its ALLL about the spring ankle} and the not so boring white canvas plimsols, this outfit shouts happy from the roof tops!
So, there we have it, my Boden Spring Rainbow Edit. What do think?
Enjoy a weekend full of colour,
Emily x
