A Beauty Advent with Green People UK

October 30, 2018

When Green People offered to send me one of their brand new beauty advent calendars I was VERY happy to oblige, fast becoming top of my favourite skincare brands; from the products I have already tried, I have found them to be fabulous (and it’s a real bonus that they are organic).

Comprising of twelve beautifully filled beauty drawers, to count down to Christmas, this advent is my favourite way to experience and try the wonders of a skincare brand, or new products if you are already familiar with Green People.

This ‘Green Regime’ is designed to offer fifteen pampering treats, including three full-size products. Including classics like the Gentle Cleanse & Makeup remover and VitaMin Fix 24 Hour Cream, plus two newcomers to their range; the Velvet Matt Lipstick and Damask Rose Facial Oil. I was thrilled to find a new personal favourite, the Age Defy+ 24 Hour Brightening moisturiser, I have been using this under my makeup every morning and it is GORGEOUS! It gives me a great healthy glow, without being oily {as a sufferer of oily to combination skin, oiliness is the last thing I want!}.

I was really surprised that included is three full size products, the Volumising Black Mascara (which is super soft on the lashes- it feels nourishing but really adds volume and separation), Illuminating Eye Palette Duo (which from a non eye shadow wearer its encouraged me to try out the more natural brightening shades, it looks so pretty) and the Velvet Matt Lipstick in Damask Rose – such a great universal natural colour which would suit any skin/hair colour type.

Pop over to Green People to buy your advent calendar (psssst and if you sign up to their newsletter you get 10% off!)

Happy adventing & a Merry Christmas (8 weeks and counting….)

Bloom & Wild ‘The Effie’

April 14, 2018

Isn’t it the best feeling; coming home to letterbox flowers? For me, this only used to be a one off event. for those special occasions, like my Birthday. This was until I discovered the Bloom & Wild letterbox flowers revolution.

I’ve always been a total flower lover; doesn’t the house just feel complete when you have fresh flowers in a vase and a candle burning? True home comforts and lovely when welcoming guests. When Bloom & Wild asked if I would work with them on a new #flowerstoyourdoorstep campaign, I was of course thrilled and VERY happy to oblige!

The ‘Effie’ bouquet is JUST WONDERFUL. It showcases the ‘Anna Karina’ rose, special for its vibrant colour, accompanied by phlox and blue ageratum. Altogether 24 stems.

One thing that is so important to remember with letterbox flowers, is when they arrive, they won’t be picture perfect. The general concept is; once received, you trim the stems diagonally and place them in your vase of water along with the specialist plant food provided. Over the course of the next 24 hours the flowers will flourish.

Every stem comes beautifully packed and protected, with a flower guide and message card if bought for a present.

So what’s so great about letterbox flowers? They’re convenient. Like any busy working Mum, time is ALWAYS and issue and doing a run to the florists isn’t always a priority. It makes you feel special? For me very much so, I always plan deliveries for a Friday for myself, almost like a reward for getting though a busy week.

And, Just because I can. I certainly fancied having some Nikki Tibbles designer blooms on my side board!

Thank you Bloom & Wild ‘The Effie’ were a delight, just like every bouquet you have ever sent me (including that beauty that you shipped all the way to France!)

Now to admire my beautiful blooms, drink some bubbles and toast ‘to the weekend’

Enjoy, Emily x
